Postino East

Postino in Gilbert was recommended to me not too long ago and we finally took the plunge to visit there today. Liberty Market, just across the street, is our usual breakfast joint, but we are always up for trying new restaurants recommended to us by people we know and trust. One of my coworkers raved about their cucumber honey lemonade and mentioned it’s a bit more upscale than Liberty Market. Hello, gourmet breakfast!! I’m there.

The cucumber balances out the tartness of lemonade quite well.

Normally, I am not a lemonade fan but I would order this drink again. It costs $3 per drink, so I couldn’t imagine getting multiple refills; then again, per my original statement, I am not much of a lemonade fan so one suits me well.

And let me say, this restaurant is beautiful. It is incredibly gorgeous.

I am working on eating healthier, so I opted for the Farm Scramble: Yukon Gold potatoes, eggs, onions, gruyere & white cheddar complimented with mixed greens and a tomato salad with a light pesto all for $9.75. Not bad for a gourmet breakfast experience.

And Little Bit enjoyed her Mix & Match kid’s lunch (roasted turkey slices, grapes, sliced apples, and some incredibly awesome homemade ruffled chips), which costs $5. It is one of the healthiest kids’ options I’ve seen at a restaurant, if you discount the chips. Our kid is pretty good at beginning a healthy eater unless there are cookies, cakes, or gummy bears involved. She only ate a few chips before ignoring the rest, which Thomas and I sampled.

Little Bit loves her dairy products.
