The Keg

12 July 2014

Our last “kid free” dinner…just kidding.  We did, however, enjoy our last night of freedom having dinner out at The Keg in the San Tan mall.  In 2008, we went to The Keg in Chandler during a visit out to Arizona when we still lived in southern California.  I am not sure why we haven’t really stopped into The Keg earlier since we’ve been here since 2012; thankfully, the Gilbert location is just as good as the one in Chandler.  Our server, Christina, was absolutely charming.  She inquired about the dust storm outside and hilariously asked, “Is it still habooby outside?  I can’t believe I just said booby.”  Our service was great throughout our meal and we decided to try the escargot for an appetizer (the texture is about the same as clams).

And because no dinner is complete without dessert, we indulged a lot!  It’s easy enough to do when we don’t have to split dessert with Little Bit as well.  She’s not really a fan of ice cream, although she loves popsicles, but that kid can devour cakes and cookies like she’s never eat one again.  She has a killer sweet tooth.
